As bachelors, we spend a lot of time thinking about attraction and landing that next date. I’ve picked up some sound tips by reading “The Game” by Neil Strauss and “The Pickup Artist” by Mystery. I recommend these books to you as part of your continuing education.

There are additional secret weapons that tend to work well. I’ve come up with a few of my own.

1) The most obvious, use Jewel Dust. Rub it on your chest as cologne. Yes, it works!

2) Get yourself an expensive pair of designer jeans like Diesel or Sevens. They may run you about $150 to $200 dollars at Nordstrom’s or an upscale clothing store, but the effects they have while worn are priceless. For the longest time, I was against fancy and expensive jeans. I would make fun of dudes who would sport a pair of jeans that would cost more than $50 dollars. Then a lady friend took me shopping against my will. I purchased a couple pairs of the fancy jeans and the results were astounding. If you’re on a limited budget, buy a used pair on ebay or browse your local thrift store. Sometimes it’s all about that stupid swirl on your back pocket.

3) Affirmations and guided intention are just like praying. Before you go out, look at yourself in the bathroom mirror and repeat 3 times: I’m the Man! Beautiful women love me.

I wish you well my friend.

Peace.

Dear Occupy Wallstreet:

Our hearts go out to you and we commend your efforts. There you are in the epicenter of it all. Sharing our collective opinions and standing up for what is right.

How did it ever get to this point? Capitalism at its core is not evil or unjust, but can it really operate a modern society? Let’s face it, corporations run and control our government, not “the people”.

A public company’s sole purpose is to generate profit for the shareholders. A mechanically run company has no essence or care for humanity or the earth. Profit as the primary objective, managed by greed, can enable ethics to fall to the wayside. In the United States at the end of 2001, 10% of the population owned 71% of the wealth and the top 1% owned 38%. (google it, 2011). My student loan debt is over the top… I bet yours is too.

Enough is enough… it’s time to share the wealth and redistribute the moolah. Or perhaps we get rid of money all together. We must now rage against the machine.

We here at Jewel Dust salute you. We would like to do our part and help dropkick corporate greed together. Camping out in the city for extended periods of time can be taxing and could allow odor causing funk to get out of control. To show our appreciation for your sacrifice we’re donating a case of Jewel Dust consisting of 48 containers of the world’s finest odor fighting powder. You’ll find our talc infused fragrance to be alluring.

Your message will now be delivered with the mojo and confidence needed to make a real impact. Spread the joy and share a container of Jewel Dust with your fellow man/woman.

Strength in numbers; together we can make a difference. Join us on twitter @jewel_dust or www.facebook.com/jeweldust

http://occupywallst.org/

Empower your Mojo!

Yours truly,

Team Jewel Dust

July 26, 2011

When the research for this series of articles began, it was easy to assume that powders, baby, body or otherwise would all be, more than likely, rather similar once past the flashy, funny, or in some cases, interesting packaging. Powders of this sort, the kind meant to be applied to the body, in general, or parts of the body, specifically, generally come in two common forms, talc, also known as hydrated magnesium silicate, and cornstarch, which comes from the endosperm of a corn kernel. Both kinds of powder provide protection against wetness, rashes, and chafing, however, for this head-to-head challenge only talc-based powders will be tested.

Contestant number one is from Jewel Dust. Packaged in a recycling-friendly HDPE 2 container, this Original Formula Body Powder for Men contains the three ingredients most commonly found in body and baby powders: talc, zinc oxide, and fragrance. For those oblivious to this sort of stuff, talc is the main ingredient; it is the stuff that makes the powder so powdery. Zinc oxide plays two roles here: it gives the powder its bright white color and acts as a barrier on the skin to protect it from moisture and other irritants. The third ingredient is some sort of fragrance. As fragrances go, the light, fresh-from-the-clean-routine smell isn’t particularly overpowering, and doesn’t play a dominant role once covered up by underpants and some trousers. Compared to all but one of the powders in this head to head test, Jewel Dust smells the best to me, and would be the least likely to scare someone off if they just so happen to be sniffing around the area where this powder is most likely to be applied. As with almost all powders in this test, it takes a special skill-set, one that I apparently do not possess, to apply it without also applying it to the bathroom floor.
All in all, for my initial experience using a powder product marketed specifically for my junk, Jewel Dust makes a good first impression.

Yeah, I dust up every day before I go to work. Sitting in an office chair all day for an obscene amount of hours can get uncomfortable; “living the dream” in the world of accounting. Wearing Jewel Dust keeps me from having to stand up often to shift my package around, especially when I’m stuck in a conference room and would normally sweat my balls off. Your accounting buddy definitely knows what I’m talking about during busy season. Jewel Dust keeps things dry down there and I’m sure it helps keep away bad odors or the infamous “batwings”.

I always carry a bottle of Jewel Dust with me when I’m flying. There’s nothing worse than being stuck in an uncomfortable seat on a plane and getting a clammy sack. Sometimes I’ll go in the bathroom before my flight and throw on some JD. That probably sounds funny, but it makes for a much more pleasant trip during those long LAX to LGA flights. That goes the same for long road trips in the car. The point is, if you’re a corporate whore and a traveling warrior then the Dust is a must. http://youtu.be/RENr9DpKXPM

If you’re already using Jewel Dust (JD) you’re probably into manscaping, grooming, and cleanliness… or not. In the “10 reasons to use” tab at the top of our page there are many uses for JD.

Admittedly, I’ll go for a stint of not showering for a day or two. Solution; sprinkle a little JD on the ‘bod’ and poof all is good. Though one of my pet peeves is the greasy hair look, which will come about from not hitting the shampoo. So, I experimented and put a little JD in the hair. Minutes later, not only did my hair not look greasy, but it was also more manageable.

I did a little research and found that “talc is highly absorbent and will lift the grease out of your hair.” http://www.ehow.com/how_2249562_get-rid-greasy-hair-talcum.html

The other day I was getting ready for a date and it dawned on me that I had some oily looking hair. So, I took some Jewel Dust and sprinkled a little bit in my hands and rubbed it throughout my hair and scalp. Needless to say, the date was a success.

This summer has brought higher temperatures to many parts of the US, and athletes are competing in their favorite summer sports and activities. Its no fun, though, to return from a great run, a pickup basketball game or tennis match and have chafing from the heat. Here’s some great ways to help deal with the heat and reduce the chance of getting chafed:

Stay cool- pick hours of the day with less intense heat to reduce sweating

Use moisture wicking clothing- many athletic clothing manufacturers have clothing that pulls sweat away from the body when you move.

Remember to shower once you’re done exercising. Its not just the irritation of rubbing that causes chafing- it can be exacerbated by dried sweat on the skin from a previous workout. Showering after competing or working out helps prevent this.

Use a body powder like Jewel Dust to help with smoother movement of clothing over the skin.

Stay hydrated- if you’re dehydrated, sweat forms more salt crystals which can hasten chafing.

Better to take preventive measures for chafing while being active in summer months, than have it develop into something worse.
